Trailer Park – Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Kingdom Hearts 3DS
Square-Enix shakes up a very quiet weekend break with media and title adjustments for Kingdom Hearts’ 3DS release, now known as Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.

Other developments from the company saw Final Fantasy Type-0 become the new title for the PSP game Final Fantasy Agito XIII, and the curtain was pulled back slightly further to reveal a direct sequel to last year’s Final Fantasy XIII, the aptly named Final Fantasy XIII-2 – which Square-Enix was quick to announce this morning would also be hitting North American PS3’s and 360’s next winter.

Mario Sports Mix
Nintendo’s apparently all about announcing games tied in with Square-Enix this week, the latest update being that the Square-Enix developed Sports Mix will see Mario and company bringing hockey, basketball, volleyball and dodgeball to a single Wii disc on February 7, 2011.

The game offers 4-player trash talk opportunities both locally and online, and that’s pretty much the gist of the announcement for today.

Though if you are craving more you can catch the trailer and some art after the break.

Dragon Quest VI
Nintendo’s all aflutter announcing that Japan’s exclusive access to Dragon Quest VI is coming to an end, with Realms of Revelation hitting the DS in North America next year – February 14, 2011 to be specific. I know many of you will have been waiting a very long time for this announcement.

As sweet as this news is, I still don’t recommend trying to pass this off as a Valentine’s gift to your sweetheart, unless your significant other is awesome, then by all means proceed.

Also catch the trailer after the break.

Trailer Park – Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection

Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection
Square-Enix’s site for the Japanese PSP title bringing together Final Fantasy IV and The After Years is go, so screenshots are making the rounds today along with the trailer, which you can catch after the break.

Regardless of your stance on Final Fantasy revisits, I hope we can all agree that airships are still as cool as ever.

Final Fantasy IV Complete

Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection
Jump Festa time brings about a page for Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection. The PSP title that brings together Final Fantasy IV and the WiiWare Final Fantasy IV: The After Years came up earlier in the week, along with word of it including an additional scenario connecting the two games.

The game is dated for Spring 2011 in Japan, and until someone posts a trailer or some art, that’s all I’ve got aside from pointing you toward the page that sparked my fingers to posting in the first place.

Because gamers never rest, not even during the holidays, add another investigate demo memo to your quest list, as Square-Enix offers an early look at Lord of Arcana on December 21st.

The multiplayer party-flavored monster hunting PSP demo will be available via PSN, and sensibly enough, character customizations and skills will be transferable to the retail release should you decide to pick that up on January 25, 2011.

Images Worth A Few Words – Aya Brea Edition

The Third Birthday
I’ve tuned out on The 3rd Birthday over the last few months, mostly in order to skip Square-Enix’s strange new desire to twitter every last detail away during the lead up to the Japanese release of Aya’s PSP debut.

It’s hard to ignore this image of Aya in her now bloodstained wedding dress however, gracing the cover of Dengeki PlayStation, so I suppose Squeenix still knows how to grab my attention when push comes to shove.
