Taiko Drum Master
With so many people on one side of the border escaping work early, it seems like those left behind on either side could use some cheering up. Enter this commercial for the latest outing of Taiko Drum Master on the Wii from Japan, complete with character cameos and an insanely excited Japanese family.

Catch if after the break.

Radiant Historia Is On The Way

Radiant Historia
Atlus sends word that the game will hit North American DS’ early next year, February 22, 2011 to be specific. As often is the case, Atlus is including a bonus with launch copies of the release, which will include an audio CD with “unique piano arrangements from composer Yoko Shimomura’s acclaimed musical score.”

My initial reaction is, ppfft, this isn’t Catherine, but I guess since the game involves time travel I’ll let this oversight slide, for now.

Meanwhile you catch a trailer after the break.

Sony Sale
Beginning tomorrow Sony is knocking down prices on 2010 digital games for PSP, PS3, and their Minis lineup by 50%, news that warrants plenty of your attention if you haven’t caught up with releases like Joe Danger or Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker – also known as one of my favorite PSP games to date.

The sale runs from November 23 until November 29, and you can catch the full list of deals after the break.

Ys: The Oath in Felghana
As always I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to enter our contest. If you didn’t all drop by we’d have to go find something else to do, and we’d really rather continue doing this instead.

This morning I entered everyone’s names into our new RandomTron 5000, which harnessed the power of science to give us our five winners.

Congratulations to Diego R., Eric, Radical Hair, Eden, and Skrams – codes have been dispatched to your in-boxes.

The RandomTron has spoken.

Mickey’s Epic Spending Options

Epic Mickey
Disney’s Epic Mickey is nearly upon us, set for release on November 30th, which is like what, ten more sleeps?

To fuel potential fanaticism, PDP offers two products that you’ve likely seen already, the paintbrush Nunchuk and a WiiMote charger that doubles as a display piece. The Nunchuck can already be had from Amazon or PDP’s website for $19.99 USD, but the charger, which PDP lists for $49.99 USD is a Toys ‘R’ Us Exclusive, a phrase I haven’t heard in quite awhile, and word is that it will later become available through PDP’s site as well.

Then of course there’s still the collector’s edition of the game, which all together should help leave an epic dent in your wallet depending on just how much you love the mouse.

I remember when you could see five Mickey cartoons for a dime and get change back! Okay not really, but it sounds like something that would be true, doesn’t it?

Your Tactics Ogre Pre-Order Incentive

Tactics Ogre
Square-Enix gives a glimpse of those Tarot Cards featuring illustrations from Akihiko Yoshida for the PSP release of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, adding word that they will be available outside of Japan, at least to those who pre-order the upcoming title from GameStop, EB Games Canada, Amazon.com or Amazon.ca – which thankfully is a pretty wide set of options to suit consumer preference.

The game’s North American release is set for February 15, 2011.

Minus/infinity is the latest issue of Mathew Kumar’s one-man videogame zine, exp., and if Kumar’s name sounds familiar, you may be recalling it from places such as Edge Magazine, Gamasutra, InsertCredit, or just about anywhere significant words have been offered up to videogames online or in print.

As with previous issues, minus/infinity contains several “experimental articles,” which seek to offer a means of conveying the core experience of titles without the traditional trappings of videogame coverage.

This issue of exp. features

– The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom (A title card sequence)
– Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent (A puzzle page)
– Alan Wake (A collection of lost lost manuscript pages)
– VVVVVV (A different way of looking at things)
– Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (A party of friends)
– Patchwork Heroes (A lazy demand) *print exclusive*
– exp.ress Mail (A star letter)

If you noticed the print exclusive snippet on Patchwork Heroes, that’s owing to the fact that a .pdf version of the zine is available for the curious and mobile.

Check it out by visiting this site right here.
