Waiting For Okamiden

Okamiden
Sometimes I think about the long wait for Okamiden in North America, and I fret about all the accidents that could befall me during such a long expanse of time – it’s a dangerous world out there after all.

But in an attempt to ease my mind, I noticed that Okamiden screenshots practically beg to be comic panels with custom dialogue. I won’t suggest my first attempt is very creative, but you should totally give it a try, if only to eat up some of the wait.

In fact, I insist you give it a try, and send me the results!

Your Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Shocker

Okami
Of all the things that could have happened over night, I certainly wouldn’t have guessed Capcom was gonna get Okami all up in their Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Of course, wolves don’t typically attack unless provoked, most often via dwindling food sources or someone getting too close to their young, so unless you get between Amaterasu and a ham sandwich or a copy of Okamiden, the confrontation may prove anti-climatic.

Judge for yourself after the break.

Your Okamiden Import Temptation

Okamiden
Apparently Capcom wants to ensure no one ever releases a more legendary collector’s edition for a videogame, ever. My evidence for this comes via the Japanese CE for Okamiden, which offers a giant box to help store the swag accompanying the game – bonus soundtrack, DVD, illustrated book, tiny plushie, and perhaps the cutest earphones ever created.

It’s official – Capcom is absolutely vomiting rainbows full of Okamiden swag.

Check it out over at E-Capcom.

Morning Cuteness: I Need this Okamiden Plush

Okamiden
You know, there are just some days where you need something to hold to make you feel better, so who’s better then the flaming white wolf God Chibiterasu to keep you company?

Look, I know I may not be the first person you’d expect to go out and buy a plush game character, but I would totally make an exception for this. At close to one and a half feet, there’s a lot of love here, and for cheap too; It will be released in japan later this year for just under $60 USD.

Catch some pictures after the break, or discover more ways to make your wallet thinner over at E-Capcom.

Zombrex Dead Rising Sun

Zombrex Dead Sun Rising
Capcom gave the word that Keiji Inafune’s film about surviving the Japanese side of the zombie apocalypse will be distributed freely in Europe and North America this summer. Zombrex will be released digitally, via a series of eight episodes with English voice-overs – French, Spanish and Italian viewers apparently get subtitles.

I guess a free movie is a free movie, but really, we couldn’t have the original voice tracks as an option?

Anyway, catch the trailer after the break to find out what a new kind of first person action film looks like.

Okamiden’s Japanese Date

Okamiden
Capcom’s updated the Japanese Okamiden site, which you can visit here, adding new details about bonus items, new wallpaper, and most importantly a release date of September 30, 2010 for the spiritual continuation of the series.

It’s definitely worth a visit – you can update your Okamiden art collection and watch some trailers before returning to wondering what portion of 2011 Capcom intends to leave the rest of us waiting for.

Review – Lost Planet 2

Whether you’re a fan from Lost Planet: Extreme Condition or a new player drawn in by videos of clashing mechs and monsters, response to Lost Planet 2 probably has left you hesitant to render any sort of purchasing decision. I am here to offer you some relief: I can tell you that the calculation can be refined to one variable. That is, precisely how much suffering are you prepared to endure for tremendous action?
