Capcom revealed a few details about Chibiterasu’s arrival on North American DS’ today, specifically that the event will be taking place on March 15, 2011, and that the cost should run you about $29.99 USD.
There was also mention of a pre-order bonus via GameStop, which doesn’t seem nearly as grand as what Japan eventually got on top, but whatcha gonna do?
Actually what you can do, apparently, is loiter around the Okami Facebook page, where Capcom is mentioning fabulous prizes for those fans that drop by and play with the Goblin Mask Facebook app. The PR used words like “win a 3DS, a copy of the game, Chibiterasu plushies” – so maybe drop by there and see what’s up with all that, though one expects it may be a while before you can really win any of those things.
Boo! Death to exclusive pre-order bonuses (especially LameStop ones)! It just makes me want to cancel my pre-order (from Amazon, thank you very much) because I feel unappreciated.

Still waiting to see if the Capcom Store will have a special pre-order item or if they’ll release a CE as was the case in Japan.
