Trailer Park – Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

Enslaved
Let’s kick off the E3 2010 trailer bombardment right, with another look at a title I’m increasingly interested in, Ninja Theory’s Enslaved. It’s definitely the one title I’m most turned around on this year – now I just need to get my paws on it.

The haunting beauty of future wastelands, robotic monstrosities, and a bit of water surfing await you, after the break.

  1. While I appreciate a future apocalyptic world in which we didn’t nuke ourselves… I’m getting really tired of video game characters all sounding the same… “Hi, I look like Jak with my ears ripped off but I sound like Marcus Pheonix! Grrrr!”

  3. Isn’t it just one individual doing all the “tough guy” voices? They all sound the same to me, might as well get someone to do them all and just release the sound library…

  4. That’s pretty much what I find funny about it. This is also one of the reasons why I could NEVER watch dubbed movies/anime. They always use stereotypical voices… it just seems silly to me.

  5. Well, if you listen to anime in Japanese for a while you start picking up on the “stereotypical voices” in their original language as well.

It’s almost as if they think we’re stupid and that if we don’t hear a little grunt here and there or a maniacal laugh we might think the first one is a woman and the second one is actually a small and cute wind spirit.
