Trailer Park – Deus Ex : Human Revolution

Deus Ex Human Revolution
Square-Enix France just posted your cinematic look at Eidos Monteal’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Following a proud Square tradition, this glimpse is entirely free of insights into what playing the game might be like, but it does have at least eight out of ten essential sci-fi nutrients – so I’m terribly torn and feeling like as far as watching goes this is pretty slick.

The Icarus bit seems to lay it on a bit thick, but whatcha gonna do?

If you enjoy the dystopian vistas of Stand Alone Complex as much as I do, then you should probably take a peak after the break.

  1. This game looks like it’s been specifically calibrated to deliver my required science-fiction payload. Generally my interest in trailers that don’t give any indication of gameplay approaches zero, but the palpable flow of sci-fi goodness here is enough to warrant interest.

  2. This is probably the coolest game trailer I’ve ever seen. I generally love my scifi and Deus Ex dark with bright blues and greens, but the yellow sunlight tones in this trailer are definitely presented in a pretty awesome way. I really, strangely like how the city with a look of Gibson’s Sprawl translated into a cleaner version perhaps more oriented towards modern day visions of the future.

The first Deus Ex is my favorite science fiction game ever (not to say that Half-Life 2 isn’t great) and this trailer has certainly set expectations high.

  3. A similarity to the Sprawl didn’t occur to me, probably because I’ve always pictured the Sprawl’s defining attribute as being dirt and disorder. I can see what you mean by a cleaner, more modern version, though.
